Off-road adventuring has taken a slight dip from its massive spike during the pandemic, but it remains incredibly popular. And to capitalize on that market, Airstream just announced two new off-road adventure vehicles for 2024, a camper van and a camping trailer.

Here's what you need to know about them.

The Airstream Trade Wind

Airstream unveiled a new 25-foot camping trailer for 2024, the Trade Wind, which the brand is calling its "most independent travel trailer" to date. The Trade Wind is designed to get you farther off the grid and permit you to stay out there longer.

The Airstream Trade Wind sleeps up to five with a convertible dinette. The Trade Wind can't drive itself like Airstream's eStream concept, but it packs a massive 810 Ah battery pack, about four times the capacity of a typical Airstream trailer. Its 600W solar capacity is twice that of a standard trailer. Its 3,000W inverter/charger combo can provide enough juice to power a microwave and 15,000 BTU air conditioning unit simultaneously.

For added off-road capability, the Trade Wind comes with a three-inch suspension lift and Goodyear Wrangler Workhorse tires. The built-in cabinetry also has extra-secure doors to ensure items stay put while in transit.

The Airstream Trade Wind starts at $129,400 and is available to order at Airstream dealers.

The Airstream Interstate 19X

Airstream launched the Interstate 24X a couple of years ago, a camper van built for outdoor adventures. The Interstate 19X is a smaller version, built on the shorter 19-foot Mercedes Sprinter chassis. The total length is roughly the same as a Ford F-150.

The Interstate 19X seats four and sleeps two. It features optional all-wheel-drive, all-terrain tires and a durable black protective coating for encountering the rough stuff. It also has a flexible rear storage area with an integrated L-track system for easily securing bikes, kayaks and other gear. An onboard generator offers enough power to run a 13,500 BTU air conditioner.

The Airstream Interstate 19X starts at $199,940 and is available to order at dealers.
