Today in Gear: All the Product News Worth Your Time

Today in Gear is our daily roundup of all the latest product announcements, drops and news from Gear Patrol Studios

In an attempt to find ways to make staring at yourself in Zoom meetings a little less awkward, Google Meet announced that it plans to release a skin smoothing and teeth whitening effect for video calls to help people look their best. While you won't be able to Photoshop your facial features, the ‘portrait touch-up’ feature will allow folks to make light cosmetic adjustments to their faces.

The feature was apparently something that was highly demanded by consumers, and it starts rolling out to select users this week, with a planned full launch by the end of the year. Right now, though, the feature is only available to users with premium accounts.

Today we’re taking a look at a new field jacket, backcountry ski pack and cozy sweatshirt. This is Today in Gear.
